While watching "The Virginian" western series last evening, I heard thunder, then a few moments later what sounded like pebbles landing on the sidewalk...looked out, and lo and behold it was hailing! It really looked like sleet, but it was too warm outside to call it that. The patio and yard were covered in "white" much to my dismay. But it only lasted a moment...didn't hurt any of the recently uncovered garden treasures, and then it rained and they soaked up some much needed moisture.
